Some villagers got sick from eating plants that grew near the sculk. After tracking down the missing Cleric's Apprentice who got captured gathering soul corrupted spider eyes, they were able to create a cure for the villagers. Now, they have enough soul corrupted spider eyes to cure in case more villagers get sick.
