You found the kidnapped echo golems and the stolen soul blocks before discovering that it was all part of a plot to lure you away while the Illager High Council ambushed the Singer and took control of the portal. Since you stopped the illager plot, the Singer gave you the gift of song, marking you as a true friend of the Sift. Now the tuners that unlock the musical gates will trust you, and you can explore more of this dimension.
